One of my never-ending challenges is keeping my land functional as hobbies, possessions and projects change. Here's the latest update - the overhead shelving above the desk.Two feet deep, 10 feet long (wide?), suspended 20 inches below the ceiling; space that was absolutely wasted before. I could close it in and make it look more like a cabinet, but I don't dislike it the way it is. Once I painted it. it looked pretty organic to the room.
So there's a Portable Dad top tip: When in doubt, paint it!
